ROP STEEL CABLE
A cable is composed of multiple wires wrapped around a central wire, creating a highly resistant yet flexible element. This construction allows the cable to support or pull heavy items and serves various purposes.
**Usage**
In our systems, ROP steel cables connect piles to anchors in rear-anchored setups. They are also essential in anti-hail systems for longitudinal and transversal pile connections, stabilizing the entire structure.
**Material and Design**
- **High Carbon Content**: Made from ultra-resistant steel wires with a minimum carbon content of 0.6%, ensuring high resistance and a low elongation rate. This provides stable and low-maintenance connections between the anchoring system and piles.
- **Flexibility**: The cables are formed by intertwining wires, making them highly flexible and easily adjustable to anchored parts.
- **Wire Quantity**: The number of wires in a cable depends on its intended purpose and required resistance. Typically, 19-intertwined wire cables are used for high strength and adequate flexibility, preventing breakage and unravelling, which can occur with cables containing many wires (49 or 116).
**Galvanization**
- **Hot-Galvanized**: The wires constituting the cable are usually hot-galvanized, with varying levels of galvanization thickness.
- **Protection Class**: The amount of zinc applied to the wires determines the cable's protection class and its expected longevity.
By ensuring the right balance between strength and flexibility, ROP steel cables provide reliable support and stability for various structural needs.
